Gas Pipework & Capping

Gas Pipework & Capping the QuickServe way

Gas pipework has to be sized, routed and tested correctly. Our Gas Safe registered engineers (Reg. 965261) plan the run with you, carry out the work to regulations and test it before we leave.

Renovating a kitchen, removing a gas fire or getting ready for building work? We can safely cap off the supply so your builders can get on, then come back to reconnect when you're ready.

Every job runs the QuickServe way: confirmations by text, an "on the way" text with our WhatsApp link, photos of the work, a signed safe work method statement, and an invoice by email.

Gas Pipework & Capping: your questions answered

What does capping off gas mean?

It means safely sealing a gas pipe where an appliance used to be, or isolating a supply during works, so no gas can escape.

Can you cap off the gas for my builders?

Yes. We can cap off before work starts and come back to reconnect or run new pipework when you're ready.

Can you move my gas meter?

Gas meters are owned by your gas supplier and normally have to be moved by them. We can do the pipework on your side of the meter.

Do you need to turn the gas off?

Yes, the supply is isolated while we work. We'll tell you roughly how long you'll be without gas.

Can gas pipes run under floors?

They can, as long as they're run and protected correctly. Our engineers plan the safest route with you.
